About Our Beach Clean
Here at Custom Splashbacks, we care about the environment and want to protect our coastlines and marine life. That’s why we will be closing the workshop early and heading to our local beach for a litter clean-up. There will be over 40 of our team searching across the coastline for waste, small or large.
Did you know?
- 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic waste are estimated to be in our oceans.
- 100,000 marine animals die from plastic ocean pollution every year – these are the creatures that are found!
- 70% of our debris sink into the ocean’s ecosystem, 15% float, and 15% land on our beaches.
- Globally, there are approximately 8 million pieces of plastic that enter the ocean every single day.
